BARKERVILLE is a
half brother to two Group winners, including Air Distingue (dam
of 1995 French 2,000 Guineas-G1 winner Vettori). His dam, by Nijinsky
II, is a full sister to multiple Grade 1 winner Caucasus (sire
of 36 stakes horses) and three-quarter sister to champion One For All
(sire of 30 SWs), and also a half sister to G3 SW Last Feather,
and to the dam of champion Run The Gantlet (sire of 39 SWs, 3 champions).
From his first crop to race,
BARKERVILLE was the leading freshman sire in Chile with 17 winners,
and 8 stakes horses, including 1997 Group winner Renacimiento, and
stakes winners Baleya and Betsy. BARKERVILLE stands
his first season the US in 1998.
BARKERVILLE is the
sire of the three-year-old Chilean sensation, Big Ten, impressive
winner of the first two legs of that country's triple crown, the Two Thousand
